The Direct Action (formerly Events) Committee met today, 6/23 at 3:30 at the
Friends meeting house.

We agreed to do street theater, and Luis is heading up a subgroup meeting to
work on the script and other preparations.  The subgroup is meeting on
Friday, June 28th at 5:00 pm at Jeanne Frieden's house.  Email her at
jefjiaf@aol.com for directions.

The whole committee will be meeting on Sunday, June 30th at 3:30 pm at the
AIPER house, 325 E. Broadway in Tempe to finish preparing for July 4th.

Mitch is buying felt uncle sam hats, Tom is getting a canopy, Kyrsten will
take care of the card table, ice, cups, water, sunscreen, and water
sprayers.  Stan will get Jeanne's water buckets and the big water cooler
from Gretchen and will bring a cover for the card table.  Tom and Mitch will
bring their coolers.  Kyrsten is typing up a flyer that tells readers about
historic patriots who were dissenters.  She'll also have flyers on the card
table about the ICC, Dave Winkler's latest article, and the FBI flyer.
